Description
Photograph of a bald eagle flying above the estuary of the Little Qualicum River in Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. Wicked claws at the ready, the raptor is already wet after several attempts at catching a fish at low tide in the estuary. This natural wonderland with wildlife galore is next to an extensive beach, one of many to be found close to town of Qualicum Beach. This particular eagle had been sitting with its mate on a partially submerged piece of driftwood watching the river's water flow by, waiting for the perfect tasty fish to come within range of those deadly claws.
Day 1 - "Eagle Fishing - Little Qualicum River Estuary" is my entry on day one of Fine Art America's one-week challenge to create a work a day with the theme of "liquid".
