Photograph of an eight-point deer buck standing in snow framed by snowy trees in winter. This black-tailed deer with beautiful antlers is looking straight at the camera and was standing by the ocean in this snowy winter scene.That morning I had noticed hoof prints in the snow leading down my neighbor's driveway so I followed the prints down into the yard, which overlooks the ocean. There was the buck, lying in the snow, with more of the white stuff falling around him. He got up reluctantly when he saw me and calmly looked up at me for his portrait. The deer in this area are very tame and often allow me to get within a few feet of them. The whole encounter was quite enchanting! This image looks great as a Christmas card. Photographed in Pender Harbor on the Sunshine Coast of beautiful British Columbia, Canada.
