Photograph of a deer buck with his antlers in velvet, casually lying down and relaxing in an area just off the highway running through Madeira Park in Pender Harbour on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, Canada. The buck didn't seem bothered at all when I strolled by what was usually a deserted area however some tourists happened along shortly after and he trotted away. It was just another magical moment on the Sunshine Coast where wildlife is plentiful and nature encounters are frequent.
