Description
Photograph of a female Anna's hummingbird all fluffed up against the extreme cold. She was perched on a cherry tree in our back yard this winter after a wicked snowstorm dumped over a foot of snow, which was a very unusual occurrence here on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. This beautiful hummingbird was one of two hummers who took up residence in our back yard for a couple of weeks this winter while we had some particularly bad weather. I have added a textured background to my original photograph to give it a more painterly appeal.
