Description
A male peacock rests lying down with his brilliant tail feathers spread out behind him in Beacon Hill Park, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada where pea fowl roam free. Normally they strut about and shake their feathers, fanning out their tails and calling constantly throughout the park but I guess even proud peacocks have to take a break sometimes. The peacocks in Beacon Hill Park are quite tame...this one allowed me to practically sit right next to him, possibly because he knew I admired his great beauty.
