Description
In spring the flowering red currant blooms wild in the fields and the hummingbirds can be seen flying from blossom to blossom, sipping the sweet nectar of the flowers. The male rufous hummingbird has a gorgeous red throat (gorget) that distinguishes it from the less colorful female. Photographed on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, Canada.
