Photograph of a cluster of starfish and mussels on the ocean's shore at low tide. There are two different kinds of starfish pictured here on a bed of seaweed: the brightly-colored purple starfish, and the more neutral leather starfish. This photograph was taken at a point where the Pacific Ocean narrows in Pender Harbour on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, Canada, creating a fast current at the changing tide where the starfish thrive.
