Artist's Description
Painterly version of a wild white rabbit I came across nibbling on grass by the side of the road, surrounded by fallen Chinese maple leaves that added beautiful splashes of scarlet color. The bunny isn't pure white but has touches of butterscotch with dark ripples and spots in his fur. He was very trusting and continued on with his business with me standing very close by photographing him.
This is a painterly version of the rabbit...a similar image is also available as a straight photograph.
About Peggy Collins
I am a digital/mixed media artist and nature photographer living on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. I'm surrounded by the ocean, forests, mountains, and abundant wildlife, and these things bring me joy that I hope finds its way into my images. When you view my work, my wish is that you feel a sense of intimacy that deepens your own connection to nature. Aside from photography, one of my passions is creating portraits of cats, dogs, and other animals. I also have growing collections of abstract landscapes, trees, flowers, and musical instruments. I also enjoy creating collages using vintage ephemera from the late 1800's and early 1900's. My work has been published numerous times in books, magazines, calendars, greeting...

How beautiful! Amazing he stood still for you, being wild like that. I cannot resist rabbits! :-) L/F
Peggy Collins replied:
