Artist's Description

Why do cats always win staring contests? Could it be the size of their eyes? Or their incredible willpower? Do cats with blue eyes win more staring contests than cats with green eyes? By the way, this cat's name is Luke and he is named after the movie Cool Hand Luke.

By the way, part two, this is one of two versions of The Staring Contest. Another version, called Another Staring Contest, has warmer tones.

About Peggy Collins

Peggy Collins

I am a digital/mixed media artist and nature photographer living on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. Aside from photography, one of my passions is creating portraits of cats, dogs, and other animals. I also have growing collections of abstract landscapes, trees, flowers, and musical instruments. I also enjoy creating collages using vintage ephemera from the late 1800's and early 1900's. My work has been published numerous times in books, magazines, calendars, greeting...
