Artist's Description
I was wandering through the botanical gardens on Maui, Hawaii with my mom when she shouted excitedly to come see something. I hurried over there and this is what I saw and got a chance to photograph: a lizard called a Three-Horned Chameleon, or a Jackson's Chameleon. What amazing looking creature! He reminded me of a pickle, all green and spikey. He was climbing along a woody branch of a bush, his eyes moving independently in all directions. In this shot I caught him seemingly checking out his tail which was curled into a spiral.

About Peggy Collins
I am a digital/mixed media artist and nature photographer living on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. I'm surrounded by the ocean, forests, mountains, and abundant wildlife, and these things bring me joy that I hope finds its way into my images. Aside from photography, one of my passions is creating portraits of cats, dogs, and other animals. I also have growing collections of abstract landscapes, trees, flowers, and musical instruments. I also enjoy creating collages using vintage ephemera from the late 1800's and early 1900's. My work has been published numerous times in books, magazines, calendars, greeting...
