I was exploring our local community gardens one day and admiring the bright orange poppies when I noticed this snail along the edge of a poppy petal. The rest of the garden gave a colorful background to this macro photograph of the snail as it enjoyed its colorful resting place.
I am a digital/mixed media artist and nature photographer living on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. I'm surrounded by the ocean, forests, mountains, and abundant wildlife, and these things bring me joy that I hope finds its way into my images. When you view my work, my wish is that you feel a sense of intimacy that deepens your own connection to nature. Aside from photography, one of my passions is creating portraits of cats, dogs, and other animals. I also have growing collections of abstract landscapes, trees, flowers, and musical instruments.
