Artist's Description
Photograph of a curious deer buck with his antlers in velvet. This deer could often be found as he is in this photograph, up to his neck in ferns, as he found tasty plants to nibble on. He usually had a few of his dearest deer friends with him.
About Peggy Collins
I am a digital/mixed media artist and nature photographer living on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. I'm surrounded by the ocean, forests, mountains, and abundant wildlife, and these things bring me joy that I hope finds its way into my images. When you view my work, my wish is that you feel a sense of intimacy that deepens your own connection to nature. Aside from photography, one of my passions is creating portraits of cats, dogs, and other animals. I also have growing collections of abstract landscapes, trees, flowers, and musical instruments.
