I came across this crow perched on a piece of driftwood along the beach's shoreline on Goose Spit in Comox, British Columbia, Canada. The photograph was taken during the spring herring spawn when the shoreline and ocean are covered in sea birds and other ocean animals, waiting to feast on herring roe or fish.
I am a digital/mixed media artist and nature photographer living on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. I'm surrounded by the ocean, forests, mountains, and abundant wildlife, and these things bring me joy that I hope finds its way into my images. When you view my work, my wish is that you feel a sense of intimacy that deepens your own connection to nature. Aside from photography, one of my passions is creating portraits of cats, dogs, and other animals. I also have growing collections of abstract landscapes, trees, flowers, and musical instruments.
