Photograph of a female Anna's hummingbird lazily perched on the stem of a columbine flower as she sips nectar from another blossom. Columbines volunteered throughout a patch of my garden this spring and the hummingbirds took full advantage.
This photograph is one of a series of images I captured of this hummer enjoying the wildflowers in my garden.

I am a digital/mixed media artist and nature photographer living on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. I'm surrounded by the ocean, forests, mountains, and abundant wildlife, and these things bring me joy that I hope finds its way into my images.
