Artist's Description
Photograph of a young American mink staring at the camera, half his body hidden behind some big boulders strewn with seaweed at low tide by the ocean. Mink like to weave in and out between the rocks by the seashore, hunting for tasty mussels to eat, or swimming into the ocean to fish. This baby mink was curious when he heard the clicking of my camera as I took his portrait.
About Peggy Collins
I am a digital/mixed media artist and nature photographer living on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. I'm surrounded by the ocean, forests, mountains, and abundant wildlife, and these things bring me joy that I hope finds its way into my images. When you view my work, my wish is that you feel a sense of intimacy that deepens your own connection to nature. Aside from photography, one of my passions is creating portraits of cats, dogs, and other animals. I also have growing collections of abstract landscapes, trees, flowers, and musical instruments.
