Description
Photograph of a flock of scarlet macaws flying in a bright blue and green sky that has had a painterly texture added to it. I photographed these five colorful parrots flying in a group along the shore of the Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica. The birds would fly from tree to tree, eating almonds and squabbling amongst themselves. Every time they flew overhead I could hear the macaws squawking and I'd look up to see their bright red, blue and yellow feathers...usually the birds flew in mated pairs (and they mate for life) but this day on the beach I saw several larger groups flying by. It was a very enjoyable sight!
