Enormous Stellar sea lions and a flock of sea gulls enjoy a feast during the spring herring spawn in Ford Cove on Hornby Island in British Columbia, Canada. The Pacific ocean's waters turn turquoise for many days due to the herring's milt as huge flocks of sea birds and bald eagles converge to eat the herring and their roe in a frenzy of activity.
I am a digital/mixed media artist and nature photographer living on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. I'm surrounded by the ocean, forests, mountains, and abundant wildlife, and these things bring me joy that I hope finds its way into my images. When you view my work, my wish is that you feel a sense of intimacy that deepens your own connection to nature.
