Description
A family of trumpeter swans including two adults and two juvenile birds lands on the ocean as they call a greeting to a waiting flock of swans in this wildlife photograph captured on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. Trumpeter swans are the largest waterfowl in North America with a weight of about 25 pounds and a wingspan of six feet. They have made a comeback from near extinction recently. It is believed that these swans mate for life.
