Description
Two carved wooden totem poles erected along the shoreline on the Sunshine Coast in Sechelt, British Columbia. These totems represent animals important to First Nation aboriginals, in this case the Shishalh Nation. The totems were erected on October 9th, 2000 to commemorate the anniversary of Sechelt's self-governmentin 1984 and to recognize and honour the people of ts'unay (Deserted Bay).
