Description
I nicknamed this red breasted nuthatch Nutty and got very attached to her. She used to eat seeds from my hand. Eventually one spring she had five babies and was run ragged trying to feed them. As you can see from one of the baby birds in the background, their mouths were often open. Sadly, after she raised her family, Nutty disappeared. I still miss her.
