Description
Photograph of a fledgling Steller's Jay posing on a tree branch. A watercolor effect has been applied to give the image a more painterly quality. Steller's Jays were frequent visitors to my bird feeders when I lived on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia in western Canada. Steller's Jays can be found in coniferous forests where you'll often hear their squawking calls. I'm pretty sure that the jays that weren't in the forest were all over at my place, begging for peanuts and emptying the bird feeder of seed in record time.
