Meet Shadow, a black cat warrior who looks very striking in her gold armor that is slightly worn from many battles protecting her family. Shadow has intense gold eyes that will always meet your gaze with a determined and courageous staredown. She is seen here as the sun sets behind her after another long day fighting the good fight.
Shadow's portrait is part of a series of cat warriors and cat women warriors that are meant to symbolize female empowerment.
About Peggy Collins
I am a digital/mixed media artist and nature photographer living on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. I'm surrounded by the ocean, forests, mountains, and abundant wildlife, and these things bring me joy that I hope finds its way into my images. When you view my work, my wish is that you feel a sense of intimacy that deepens your own connection to nature. Aside from photography, one of my passions is creating portraits of cats, dogs, and other animals. I also have growing collections of abstract landscapes, trees, flowers, and musical instruments.
