Artist's Description
This is a commissioned work of Samson, a beloved Silver Maine Coon cat who has now passed. I asked Samson's mom to write a description of him. And here it is: "Samson was a big nonsense biscuit. Very vocal. Mischievous. Could break into any room in the house. Loved to steal items of our clothing to make nests. Loved to play fight. Biggest purr. And a huge snore that could be heard all over the house. My ex partner described him as a festival of fluff and it is true. We drove 1000 miles with his fluff on our car Ariel. We laughed. He loved and protected my children. Huffed loudly when things didn't go his way. And broke every child proof cupboard lock to get into his biscuits. Every day was a joy. A once in a lifetime gift from above."
Such an amazing description. I can perfectly picture Samson and it's obvious that he was very much loved.
About Peggy Collins

I am a digital/mixed media artist and nature photographer living on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. I'm surrounded by the ocean, forests, mountains, and abundant wildlife, and these things bring me joy that I hope finds its way into my images. When you view my work, my wish is that you feel a sense of intimacy that deepens your own connection to nature. Aside from photography, one of my passions is creating portraits of cats, dogs, and other animals. I also have growing collections of abstract landscapes, trees, flowers, and musical instruments. I also enjoy creating collages using vintage ephemera from the late 1800's and early 1900's. My work has been published numerous times in books, magazines, calendars, greeting...
