Portrait of a Hungarian Pumi dog in tones of gray, purple and blue. The Pumi is a medium-small sheep dog from Hungary. One bonus of this breed is that they don't shed.
I often come across this adorable pup and her owner on my neighborhood walks and asked if I could create a portrait. It was hard to do her justice.

I very much like both versions. In this grayscale take, I like how the dog almost blends in with the abstract background. In the color version, its eyes stand out more and seem more expressive. Nicely done!

Thanks very much for your kind comments, Kerry. This version comes pretty close to the dog's actual coloring and background (old ice). I saturated her eyes a little for the other version but had to desaturate them for this version as they were just a little overwhelming with this more neutral work!
