We have them growing through cracks in our cement sidewalk and they have now spread throughout the yard, adding cheerful splashes of color throughout.

Day 15 - "My Poppy Garden" is my entry on day 15 of Fine Art America's 30 Day Challenge to create a new work each for for 30 days in a row.

I am a digital/mixed media artist and nature photographer living on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. I'm surrounded by the ocean, forests, mountains, and abundant wildlife, and these things bring me joy that I hope finds its way into my images. When you view my work, my wish is that you feel a sense of intimacy that deepens your own connection to nature. Aside from photography, one of my passions is creating portraits of cats, dogs, and other animals. I also have growing collections of abstract landscapes, trees, flowers, and musical instruments.
