This is a commissioned work of Joshua, a cross between a Staffordshire Terrier and a Great Dane.

Here is what the mother of Joshua's owner has to say about him: "Joshua is a rescue from the vet clinic I work for. He came in at 5 months old and he is now 3. He was hit by a car. The driver took off and the owner had no money and took him to the pound. The pound only had money to cast it but his leg was shattered and had to come off. Thanks to my daughter and her favorite rescue she adopted him. He's the most wonderful loving dog she ever had. He also lives with 2 Poms and 6 cats...all are rescues."

As the former owner of a Staffordshire Terrier myself, I fell in love with Joshua. Love that pouty mouth!

I am a digital/mixed media artist and nature photographer living on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. I'm surrounded by the ocean, forests, mountains, and abundant wildlife, and these things bring me joy that I hope finds its way into my images.
