Photograph of a female mallard duck sitting above a crowd of other ducks, having her "I want to be alone" moment. This photograph was taken at the George C. Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary in Delta, British Columbia, Canada. I don't think I've ever seen so many ducks gathered together at one time...maybe I just missed somebody feeding them. The Reifel Bird Sanctuary is a wonderful haven in a protected area near the Fraser River estuary and features many bird species to be seen throughout the year.
