Description

If there's one thing hummingbirds love it's the flowers of the red flowering currant bushes that bloom in the spring. To get this photograph I hung around some of these spectacular red flowers while the hummingbird made his rounds, flying like a crazed kamikaze pilot, then swooping in to get a sip of sweet nectar. This is about as closeup as I can get and still focus...the distance to the hummingbird would be about six feet.
