Description
Photograph of a Cuban green anole posed on a tree covered in patches of lichen, photographed mid island in Santa Clara, Cuba. The colorful reptile was very striking poised on the beautiful tree with its colors of green, gray, tan and white, which also had a few small air plants (bromeliads) growing on it. This lizard (Anolis porcatus) is native to Cuba but has been introduced to Florida, the Dominican Republic, São Paulo, and Tenerife, and is now considered to be an invasive species.

An amazing photograph, the lichen is as stunning as the anole!
Peggy Collins replied:
Thanks very much! The lichen certainly was eye-catching...it totally covered the tree in those amazing patterns.
