Description
A gull flying high in the sky with a clam in its beak, about to perform a great trick...seagulls and crows know that to break open a clam they need to drop it from high in the air. They dare not fly too high though because another bird might fly in and scoop up their seafood prize. So they often will need to drop the clam repeatedly to break it open. I have added a digital watercolor effect to my original photograph to give it a more painterly appeal. Photographed by the beach on Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island in beautiful British Columbia, Canada. Colors in this image are turquoise blue, gray, and white.
