Artist's Description
Colorful and whimsical artwork of a stylish woman named Faith walking her longhaired white cat named Fanny on a leash through Central Park in New York City in winter. Today Faith is wearing a colorful striped long coat with matching striped boots and a huge striped scarf and hat with a purple pom pom Her long auburn hair flows in the chilly breeze. Fanny is wearing her colorful striped winter coat in keeping with today's theme of stripes.Together they make a striking pair walking through Central Park with bare winter trees, a park bench, and skyscrapers in the distance. Together Faith and Fanny make a very fashion-forward pair.
This cat mom and her kitty are part of a larger series to be found in my Catwalk collection.
About Peggy Collins
I am a digital/mixed media artist and nature photographer living on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. I'm surrounded by the ocean, forests, mountains, and abundant wildlife, and these things bring me joy that I hope finds its way into my images. When you view my work, my wish is that you feel a sense of intimacy that deepens your own connection to nature. Aside from photography, one of my passions is creating portraits of cats, dogs, and other animals. I also have growing collections of abstract landscapes, trees, flowers, and musical instruments. I also enjoy creating collages using vintage ephemera from the late 1800's and early 1900's. My work has been published numerous times in books, magazines, calendars, greeting...
