Description

This photograph shows a brahman cow resting in a farmer's field in the Osa peninsula of Costa Rica, with a Yellow Headed Caracara falcon perched atop its hump and a cattle egret strolling by in the foreground. The egrets eat the insects the cow kicks up from the grass as well as ridding it of fleas and ticks. I would usually see cattle egrets surrounding the brahman cattle in the fields of Costa Rica.
