Psychedelic artwork of an all-percussion band called The Drumheads, which was the first band I was ever in, playing at my first-ever gig at Caribbean Days in North Vancouver, British Columbia, in 1995. We played Caribbean and original music and were led by Ali Johnson (from Barbados, in the center playing a red conga). We were an eight-member multicultural band (one member is missing in this artwork based on a photograph taken at the festival). The day was broiling hot and the festival grounds in North Vancouver were absolutely packed. It was an amazing time and I still remember it well all these years later.
Day 89 - "Caribbean Days - The Drumheads" is my entry on day 89 of Fine Art America's 100 Day Challenge to create a new work each day.
