Meet Shade, a black cat with yellow eyes that pierce the night. Shade is a small cat who is fond of finding hiding places in the house and blending in with the shadows. He doesn't come out from hiding until his parents are good and worried because he knows he will get special treats once they find him. Shade is a very clever fellow. I have done this black kitty's portrait with abstract Celtic knots in shades of brown and blue.
I am a digital/mixed media artist and nature photographer living on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. I'm surrounded by the ocean, forests, mountains, and abundant wildlife, and these things bring me joy that I hope finds its way into my images. When you view my work, my wish is that you feel a sense of intimacy that deepens your own connection to nature.
