This black capped chickadee is just one of many birds that seems to delight in my mom's backyard. I photographed this little one in winter as the snow fell. The berries are a good food source for the various birds who hang out in the nearby bushes and trees.
I am a digital/mixed media artist and nature photographer living on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. I'm surrounded by the ocean, forests, mountains, and abundant wildlife, and these things bring me joy that I hope finds its way into my images. When you view my work, my wish is that you feel a sense of intimacy that deepens your own connection to nature.
