Description
This immature American bald eagle posed nicely on a piece of driftwood by the beach during the herring spawn on Hornby Island on the west coast of British Columbia, Canada. It was an incredibly windy day and the eagle is posed for take off, with seagulls flying behind him. The water was an unusual turquoise color due to the herring spawn. All in all, it was a memorable day for this nature photographer!
