This is a commissioned work of a tabby cat named Amos, done with bold stokes of color. Here is his owner's description of him:
"I got him from a foster 15.5 years ago that told me he was found in a cardboard box on the side of the road along with several siblings. The first time I met him, he fell asleep in my hand. I had to have him and a sister who since passed. This special guy was an indoor cat only but when he had the chance to hunt a creature that happened to get inside, he was relentless. He loved to curl up on a chair on our lanai with a bit of sun to warm him. He always wanted to know what my husband and I were having for dinner. If it was a meat that he had a taste for he would let you know by sitting right beside you and meowing to get his point across. When a tuna can was opened he pretty much went ballistic until he got his fill. He was not a lap cat but always was my alarm clock in the morning when it was time for breakfast. But he loved to be brushed every morning...

I'm surrounded by the ocean, forests, mountains, and abundant wildlife, and these things bring me joy that I hope finds its way into my images. When you view my work, my wish is that you feel a sense of intimacy that deepens your own connection to nature. Aside from photography, one of my passions is creating portraits of cats, dogs, and other animals. I also have growing collections of abstract landscapes, trees, flowers, and musical instruments. I also enjoy creating collages using vintage ephemera from the late 1800's and early 1900's. My work has been published numerous times in books, magazines, calendars, greeting...
