Description
I've never seen a hummingbird sitting down and drinking nectar from a flower at the same time but that's exactly what I caught this male rufous hummingbird doing. At first he was busy flying around from one red flowering currant bush to another, and then he took a little rest but obviously decided that this one flower was within reach, so why not have a little sit-down dinner?

Thanks very much, Deyanira! I went back a few times to try to get more photos of these beauties but for some reason they weren't around. Now the flowering currant is just about done unfortunately. Oh well, I'm already waiting for next year!
