We rarely get hoar frost here on the west coast of Canada but when we do, nature puts on a spectacular show. It almost looked like the bushes were covered in Christmas lights and it was hard to capture the amazing depth of color as they blinked in the early morning sun, creating a lovely bokeh background to these icy red leaves.

I am a digital/mixed media artist and nature photographer living on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. I'm surrounded by the ocean, forests, mountains, and abundant wildlife, and these things bring me joy that I hope finds its way into my images. When you view my work, my wish is that you feel a sense of intimacy that deepens your own connection to nature. Aside from photography, one of my passions is creating portraits of cats, dogs, and other animals. I also have growing collections of abstract landscapes, trees, flowers, and musical instruments.
