Artist's Description
Photograph of bees pollinating a purple spiky flower called an allium in a garden. In the background of this honey bee photo are more flowers waiting to be pollinated, creating a soft pastel dreamy bokeh. A light painted texture has been added to the photograph to give it a more painterly, dreamlike quality, blending the lines between photography and painting.
About Peggy Collins
I am a digital/mixed media artist and nature photographer living on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. I'm surrounded by the ocean, forests, mountains, and abundant wildlife, and these things bring me joy that I hope finds its way into my images. When you view my work, my wish is that you feel a sense of intimacy that deepens your own connection to nature. Aside from photography, one of my passions is creating portraits of cats, dogs, and other animals. I also have growing collections of abstract landscapes, trees, flowers, and musical instruments.
