The springs are coming out of the rusty old car's wrecked seats, which can be seen easily because one of the car doors is missing. This is one of many cars I photographed in the woods of Halfmoon Bay on the Sunshine Coast in British Columbia, Canada. In the old days they just towed the cars to the middle of the forest and left them there to decay, creating a junkyard in the middle of pristine woods.
I am a digital/mixed media artist and nature photographer living on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. I'm surrounded by the ocean, forests, mountains, and abundant wildlife, and these things bring me joy that I hope finds its way into my images. When you view my work, my wish is that you feel a sense of intimacy that deepens your own connection to nature. Aside from photography, one of my passions is creating portraits of cats, dogs, and other animals. I also have growing collections of abstract landscapes, trees, flowers, and musical instruments.
