Description
My neighbor has a steep hillside that's covered in pink and white sweet peas every summer, which makes an inviting carpet of flowers that's practically begging to be picked so every year I get to pick enough for a few bouquets, photograph them, and otherwise enjoy them.
In this image I photographed the pink sweet peas in an antique pitcher and bowl with pretty rose patterns. The flowers are set off nicely by a soft pastel turquoise background in this floral photograph that I made to look like a vintage print by adding painted textures. This vertical floral photograph would suit a feminine decor with its soft pastel tones.
1st place in the "Just Bouquet of Flowers" contest, September, 2013.

Thanks so much, Nikolyn! Yes, it was a lovely surprise winning the contest with so many superb entries. My neighbor's hillside is covered in sweet peas every year and it's a real treat to pick a bouquet or two.

Lovely old fashioned look - tones, container and fresh sweet peas go so well together. Congratulations on your 1st place win in the Just Bouquet of Flowers contest.

Thanks for your kind comment, Caitlyn! My neighbour's hillside is covered in sweet peas every year and I just love the sight of them when I'm driving around the corner and spot them.
